Finnair Plc Press release Finnair enhances efficiency by simplifying organisation

Finnair is changing the structure of its Group organisation. A key objective is
to achieve cost efficiencies by combining the Group's Scheduled Passenger
Traffic and Leisure Flight Operations into an integrated Flight Traffic
organisation, which will operate directly under the President & CEO. In
addition, through the new organisation, closer cooperation will be sought
between Flight Operations and Group Administration.
We will purposefully continue to enhance our operational efficiency.
Particularly by combining scheduled passenger and leisure traffic we will
centralise our most important resources, fleet and personnel. The
reorganisation of operations will also clarify areas of responsibility and
generate cost savings, says Deputy Chief Executive Officer Lasse Heinonen.

From the beginning of October, Finnair's business activities will be divided
into five operational entities: Commercial Operations, Production, Customer
Service, Travel Services and Aviation Services. Support functions will comprise
Economics and Finance, Human Resources Management, Information Management,
Public Affairs and Corporate Communications, Resources Management, Business
Development and Legal Affairs. In the coming weeks, a detailed review of the
units and departments belonging to each area will be completed.
Through the change, we aim to improve management of the service product and
its sales as well as more efficient planning of use of resources and production
management. In the process, we will raise resources management to a higher
level within our organisation, enabling the operations of the entire Group to
be developed as a whole.

In the new structure, Commercial Operations will be led by Mika Perho,
Production by Erno Hilden, Customer Service by Timo Riihimäki and Travel
Services by Kaisa Vikkula. The Resources Management Unit will be led by Ville
Iho. All of the above Senior Vice Presidents are also members of Finnair Plc's
Management Board. In addition, the President & CEO, Deputy CEO Lasse Heinonen
and SVP Public Affairs and Corporate Communications Christer Haglund are also
members of the Management Board.

The Aviation Services business units, Finnair Catering, Finnair Technical
Services and the ground handling company Northport Oy, as well as the cargo
companies, will continue within Deputy CEO Lasse Heinonen's area of
responsibility.

Management of administrative support functions, such as Information Management,
Human Resources Management and Financial Management, will be centralised from
the units into Group Administration. Moreover, Resources Management and
Long-Term Operational Planning will be transferred to become part of Group
Administration.
