Finnair has successfully operated more than 70 years as an airline in a demanding weather environment. Winter conditions are a familiar matter to Finnair and our airline has learnt to adopt to the realities of winter and the large weather variations that are typical of the winter. This program is intended to share this knowledge with other airlines and their pilots world wide. Maybe your domestic operation does not include such weather conditions, but then, maybe your long range operations into Europe and North America encounter these frequently?

We all have experience in how to operate in dry summer conditions, but what about winter?

We believe that being prepared and aware of the circumstances bring major safety improvements to your winter operations and also cut unnecessary costs.

The program is structured so that you can include it as a part of your pilots initial, type and recurrent training programs. The program is also suitable for the training of technical and ground handling staff. The program running time is approximately 4 hours. The program is designed to be used on a standard PC in a Windows environment on CD-ROM.
